Why am I getting no results when I search by job description?

When searching by a job description in ENGAGE, it is important to keep in mind that it is a computer that is parsing through the description. As the job description is parsed, ENGAGE is pulling key words and creating in-depth Boolean strings for job title and skills.

If you are finding no results when using this function there are a couple of reasons:

1. The Boolean strings may be too in-depth.

Fix: Toggle back to the "Search Fields" and take a look at the the Boolean strings in the title and skills sections. These strings are fully editable, so if you find that there are too many key words in the string, take some out and see what results you may find.

2. Location may not pull over correctly and bug the system

Fix: Delete the populated location and enter it manually into the "location" field on the "Search Fields"

3. Certain symbols may trip the system

Fix: If there are any strange symbols in the job description that you are trying to paste, delete them before parsing
